On February 16, ENCORE was represented at the national symposium of ZeldSamen, an association that offers parents information, contact and recognition after the diagnosis of a rare genetic syndrome.

There was an ENCORE 'marketplace' and stand where André Rietman (researcher and Gz/neuropsychologist) answered questions from both parents and healthcare professionals. There were flyers from the UNIEK project, which focuses on children with a genetic diagnosis and autism.

André leidde ook twee goed bezochte workshops over ‘prikkelverwerking’,  waarin vele vragen rondom dit onderwerp aan de orde kwamen: wat te doen als een kind niet wil dat je zijn tanden poetst; hoe ga je om met zelfbeschadiging; hoe zorg je dat kinderen de zintuigelijke prikkels krijgen die ze nodig hebben om goed te kunnen functioneren.
