WANTED! Student for designing information material about sleep problems in children with Angelman syndrome.
Background: At the Sophia Children's Hospital we have an expertise center for children and adults with Angelman syndrome. This is a genetic condition in which children have developmental delays and often also epilepsy. A major problem for parents with a child with Angelman syndrome is difficulty sleeping. For example, children sleep poorly, require a lot of attention at night or do not want to be alone. We have conducted research into the best approach to improve sleep.
Parents have raised money to do something good for children with Angelman syndrome. We want to use that support to make short information videos for all parents about sleep, sleep problems and the different approaches that can work. We hope to offer parents expertise at their own pace that suits their own situation.
What are we looking for: We know what we want to say, but we cannot shape it. We are looking for someone who wants to work with us on this and who is able to provide these videos with graphic design, such as a student at TU Delft or someone otherwise skilled in visual drawing. For example, we are thinking of an animated infographic/drawings. We deliberately do not want a video of a real child, because we think that makes it less easy for parents to project their own situation on the information.
The information is in Dutch, so we are looking for someone who speaks sufficient Dutch for this project.

What we offer: A great team of doctors and researchers to work with and an appointment as a student (scale 5 Collective Labor Agreement UMC) or in the case of a more professional draftsman, number of hours in consultation.
